Maurizio (Sanremo, 1966) moved to London at the age of 21.
After spending a few years getting to know the city, he enrolled at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design. In 2001 he obtained a BA (Hons) Theatre: Design for Performance.
He collaborated with various theatre companies such as Monkey See, Monkey Do with whom he took part at the 10th International Fringe Festival in New York City in 2006.
After that, he got involved with the scenic painting team for the production of The Masque of the Red Death by Punchdrunk, and then with experimental theatre collective Shunt for the Shunt Lounge project in the vaults underneath London Bridge station.
Maurizio strongly believes that design doesn't necessarily have to be in the service of a story, but it has to go deeper. It must be devised so that ideas, once they have "communicated" with each other, can reveal meanings to us through a totally original visual language.
He now lives in Sanremo producing digital imaging such as e-flyers and e-posters.
